Onboarding Setup
Starting the claims management process for the first time can feel overwhelming — especially when you're also coordinating care for a loved one. Affirm Assist's onboarding process is designed to remove that friction entirely.
What Happens During Onboarding
When you enroll with Affirm Assist, we begin by collecting and organizing everything needed to submit your long-term care insurance claims correctly from day one.
This includes:
- A copy of your current LTC insurance policy
- Identification of your insurer, policy number, and benefit structure
- Collection of existing care documentation — physician statements, care plans, provider agreements
- Identification of your elimination period status and where you currently stand
- Setup of your secure client file with all documentation organized and indexed
Why It Matters
Most claim errors and delays trace back to the first submission. Incomplete packets, missing signatures, and mismatched documentation are the leading causes of insurer pushback. Getting the foundation right at the start prevents problems downstream.
What You Can Expect
Our team will walk you through every requirement specific to your insurer and policy. We identify gaps in your documentation before submission and work with your care provider and physician's office to obtain anything missing. By the time your first claim is filed, everything is in order.
Pro Tip
Have your policy documents, your most recent insurer correspondence, and any care provider agreements ready to share digitally when you enroll. The more complete your starting file, the faster we can begin filing on your behalf.
